LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A Lee County cattle rancher found the body parts of a small calf on his property on Wildcat Drive over the holiday weekend.

Paul Dinger saw buzzards circling a remote area of his 220-acre ranch. He later found the head and limbs of one of his calves at the location.

Dinger says this is a reoccurring problem at his Lehigh Acres ranch. Over the past two months, a total of three calves and a bull either disappeared or turned up dead.

He believes thieves are stealing the cattle to sell or eat, as the price of beef hits record highs.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. There are currently no suspects or witnesses to the crime.
