FORT MYERS, Fla.- The search is still on for a gunman who shot and killed a man outside Edison Mall on Friday night. Now, days after the shooting there are still plenty of unanswered questions.

Shoppers are back at the mall making those holiday returns. All this, as investigators continue their hard work in tracking leads in the hopes of making an arrest in the case. The Fort Myers Police Department is keeping quiet on the case. They're following up on numerous leads including surveillance video that could shed some light in the minutes leading up to the shooting.

An altercation broke out near the Macy's and JCPenney entrance. That's when a hail of gunfire broke out. Between 40 and 50 shots were fired from an assault rifle.

Police say the gunman got away in a four-door gray car.

Police have identified the victim as 25-year-old Thomas Arthur Goodman.

Officers on scene performed C.P.R. on him, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Goodman had a long criminal history, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, strong-armed robbery and a list of drug charges.
