LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Two victims were robbed at gunpoint on Friday night in Veterans Park, while stargazing.
The two stated that they were lying on a hill, looking at the stars, when an unknown, heavyset male, wearing dark shorts and a black hoodie, approached them.
The suspect flipped the male victim over onto his stomach and held a gun to his head, behind his ear. He then flipped over the female victim over and put the gun to her head.
He took the male victim's phone, wallet and car keys from his pants pocket. The suspect asked what kind of car he drove and how much gas was in it.
He also grabbed the female's purse and phone that were sitting nearby.
Witnesses in the parking lot described the same male walking quickly and acting strangely. One of the witnesses thought he recognized the suspect. Both reported that he fled toward Sable Spring.
