FORT MYERS, Fla.- An accused murderer's trial is set to start today in Lee County. Brian Casey will be representing himself. Prosecutors say he killed Larrick Sikes last year.

The trial hasn't started yet, but in a hearing going on, Casey confessed to the crimes. He is arguing to have several statements thrown out before a jury hears the case. Prosecutors say he verbally admitted having something to do with Larrick Sikes murder. He also wrote several letters containing confessions. Casey says he was high on drugs and doesn't remember any of it.

A judge will decide today whether the statements will be thrown out.
