FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - A Fort Lauderdale Police officer has been arrested after authorities say he tried to sell prescription drugs to a police informant while on duty.
According to a police statement, Officer Kevin Pisano gave five pills to the informant on Friday. Authorities found one other prescription pill while searching his squad car. He faces several charges including possession and delivery.
It's unclear how Pisano came into possession of the pills and why he was trying to sell them.
Pisano was hired by the department in 2009.
The investigation continues.
