CAPE CORAL, Fla.- The Cape Coral Police Department is partnering with the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida for a Holiday Food Drive. The department will be collecting non perishable food items from December 1st thru December 22nd when they will deliver the goods to the collection center in time for the holidays.

We realize that there are many Cape Coral residents that rely on the Harry Chapin Food Bank for food every day, and the number of families is growing. We also are aware that many of those who receive help from the Harry Chapin Food Bank in Cape Coral are families with children.

We encourage those who come to Cape Coral Police Headquarters to bring a food donation to drop off. We will have a collection bin in the lobby during the drive.

“The Cape Coral Police Department is busy during the holiday season between the Thanksgiving meal for seniors at the Tony Rotino Center, our Adopt a Family Motorcycle Run for toy donations/delivery as well as our Shop with a Cop program. We have a great group of people here at the department who care about this community and love to give back. This is why we have partnered with a great organization like Harry Chapin,” said Lieutenant Tony Sizemore.
