CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral’s City Council has called a meeting, set for Friday, to discuss the termination of City Manager Gary King.

If King is fired, he stands to walk away with more than $60,000.

The meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. It will be televised on Channel 98 and public input will be allowed, according to our partners at the News-Press.

Council member Marty McClain said firing King now is the “most amicable way for both to move forward.”
