FORT MYERS, Fla.- Garrett Kern was back in front of a Lee County judge Monday morning.

Kern wore a suicide protection suit and said nothing as he stood in front of Judge Edward Volz.

The 23-year-old was there on charges he violated his probation. But Kern's new attorney had the hearing pushed back until March 5th.

Kern violated his probation when he took off to Chicago earlier this month.

He's also facing Second Degree Murder charges for the death of his step-grandfather, James Arthur.

He'll be arraigned on that charge next month.
