DEBARY, Fla. (AP) - Two Volusia County deputies who were shot while responding to a domestic-violence call are being treated at a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Corey Reynolds is being questioned at the Sheriff's Office and faces several charges.
The sheriff's office received a call Saturday morning that Reynolds had tried to strangle his ex-girlfriend at her home in DeBary, about 25 miles southwest of Daytona Beach.
Deputies John Braman and John Brady tried to arrest Reynolds, who pulled out a handgun and shot both deputies.
Braman was shot in the right shoulder and left arm, and another bullet grazed his neck. Brady was grazed on the back of his right shoulder.
The deputies never returned fire.
