COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Matthew James Francis, 21, of 9770 47th Drive N.W. in Coral Springs was arrested on Tuesday for Fraud-obtaining property over $50,000, identity theft, exploitation of the elderly and grand theft $300-$5,000.

A Collier County Sheriff’s Office investigation was initiated in July 2010 after it was discovered that Francis stole a large sum of cash from a cash box in the drive-thru area of the Wachovia bank branch 5801 Pelican Bay Blvd., North Naples, where he worked as a teller.

Through an exhaustive investigation, detectives found that while Francis was working as a teller for Wachovia he would complete withdrawal slips for the accounts of two customers and then later deposit the money into his account or a friend’s account.

Francis was arrested Tuesday on a felony warrant.
