CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - A Pinellas County jury found three men guilty of killing an 8-year-old girl during a drive-by shooting.
The jury made its decision Wednesday in the murder trial of Paris Whitehead-Hamilton, who was killed in 2009.
Dondre Davis, Stephen Cortez Harper and Duong Dai Nguyen were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors have said the trio was among a group who were angry with a rival gang member nicknamed "Monster." But instead of hitting Monster, one bullet hit and killed 8-year-old Paris, who had gone to bed for the night.
