FORT MYERS, Fla.- An environmental friendly bio-desel company is celebrating its grand opening here in Fort Myers. Green Gallon Solutions will pump millions into our local economy and feed hungry people at the same time.
Green Gallon Solutions takes used vegetable oil and animal fats and turns it into a bio-diesel fuel that's bio-degradable and reduces carbon monoxide emissions up to 80 percent. The fuel can be used in any type of equipment that operates on diesel.
The company's corporate headquarters will be in North Fort Myers.
Green Gallon Solutions plans on hiring about 20 local people, using products from local restaurants and companies, which will pump up to $8 million into our local economy.
The company will also donate two cents of every gallon sold to the Harry Chapin food bank. So far, nearly two million gallons have been sold, which gives the food bank $40,000.
Green Gallon Solutions will continue their partnership with the Harry Chapin food bank for as long as possible.
The bio-desel company plans on building eight more plants across Florida. Another one is set to open in texas.
