FORT MYERS, Fla.- The victims of this weekend's double homicide have been positively identified as 26-year-old Aner Miralda and 26-year-old Dagoberto Ramos-Caceres. Both resided at 5318 29th Street S.W., Lehigh Acres.
The two men were found in a shopping plaza in North Fort Myers. One man was wearing only his socks and underwear.
Detectives from the Lee County Sheriff's Office were interviewing store owners.
Both men were found at the shopping plaza on Pondella Road on Saturday morning.
Miralda was found lying on the ground in the front of the building. Ramos-Caceres was found behind the building.
There are signs of trauma, which is why authorities are calling this a double homicide.
Saturday morning around 3 a.m., people living nearby reported hearing gun shots.
One of the bodies was found outside Stillman Young's business.
"I don't have a theory about what may have happened. I mean, two guys got killed...all I can do is say a prayer for them this morning," Young said.
There are no surveillance cameras and only one working light on the back of this building where one of the bodies was found.
