DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - A judge has ordered a South Florida police officer held without bond for allegedly firing at another officer.
The Sun Sentinel (http://sunsent.nl/sedUKT ) reports that Broward County Judge John Hurley read Lauderhill Police Officer Kristopher John Bieger's arrest report in court Monday.
Hurley said Bieger fired 10 rounds Saturday at his ex-girlfriend, who also is a Lauderhill police officer. She was in her patrol car while working an off-duty security job.
Hurley said one of the bullets struck her protective vest.
Lauderhill Police Capt. Constance Stanley says the gun used was not Bieger's service weapon. She said Bieger and the woman worked together on the same shift.
Bieger was arrested outside a Davie restaurant hours later.
Broward County jail records did not show whether Bieger had an attorney.
