ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Fire officials say an electrical fire broke out in the auditorium at Northeast High School in St. Petersburg.
Bay News 9 reports the fire broke out about 5 a.m. Friday.
Fire officials say the fire was quickly extinguished, but smoke poured from the auditorium. Sections of the school suffered water damage.
Principal Paula Nelson told the television station that classes would continue Friday, but about 40 percent of the students would have to be moved around due to damage.
The fire is under investigation.
