PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics detectives at 12:15 p.m. Thursday purchased Morphine pills at the home of Andrea M. Sawyer, 35, 4726 Knollwood Drive, Punta Gorda. At 6:45 p.m., undercover detectives met again with Sawyer. This time Alexander Christopher Liampas,24, of Deerfield Beach came along and they met at a gas station at U.S. 17 and Golf Course Boulevard, east of Punta Gorda. Both sold Morphine and Roxicodone pills to undercover operatives and were then arrested.

Liampas remains in the Charlotte County Jail on $10,000 bond; Sawyer however, posted an $11,000 bond early this morning and was released. At 1:05 p.m. this afternoon, Narcotics detectives went to Sawyer’s home and arrested her for the sale of Morphine for the drug deal earlier Thursday at her home. Sawyer is back in the Charlotte County Jail and is being held on $7,500 bond. Her new charges are Sale and Delivery of Morphine, and Possession of Morphine.
