PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit detectives Monday arrested a man for selling marijuana to them just 2½ hours after he was released from jail on marijuana charges.

John Henry Logan, 30, 21351 Walling Court, Port Charlotte, was arrested Sunday for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released from the Charlotte County Jail Monday at 1:43 p.m. on $6,000 bond. Within minutes of his release, he set up a marijuana drug buy. CCSO Narcotics detectives agreed to meet Logan at a Shell station at Peachland and Forest Nelson boulevards in Port Charlotte. Logan then sold a plastic baggie with marijuana to undercover operatives for $125.

When Logan saw unmarked units move in, he fled on foot but was caught by two deputies a short distance away. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and charged with Sale and Delivery of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting Arrest. Logan remains in jail this time with no bond, being a convicted felon and his seventh booking.
