LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Lehigh Senior High School Center for the Arts will be dedicating its band room in remembrance of alumnus Jason Amores.

After graduating from Lehigh Senior High, Mr. Amores went on to join the U.S. Marines.

On January 20, 2011, Jason Amores died as a result of fighting in the war in Afghanistan.

The dedication is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, November 4th. Lehigh Senior High school is located at 901 Gunnery Road. Scheduled to attend the dedication are Mr. Amores’ widow, Dr. Joseph Burke, Superintendent of Schools, Thomas Scott, School Board Chairman and others.

After the dedication of the band room a “moment of remembrance” will be conducted prior to the start of the final home football game. The football team will be taking on the Wildcats from Estero High School.
