NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - The U.S. Marshals Service says it tracked a man accused of shooting a New Jersey bank teller during a robbery to Florida.

Officials arrested Jeffrey Garrett in Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday.

Authorities say the 34-year-old carjacked a 61-year-old man in Trenton and stuffed him in the trunk, then drove to a JP Morgan Chase Bank in Hamilton Township in August.

The FBI said Garrett shot the teller during the robbery and then drove the stolen car with the wounded man still in the trunk to the Moorestown Mall before abandoning the vehicle.

Authorities say Garrett robbed the same bank in November 2010.

Both shooting victims survived.
