BOCA GRANDE, Fla.- Fish kill concerns continued to mount Monday afternoon. A red tide bloom is littering some local shorelines with dead fish.

A southbound red tide bloom off the coast of Charlotte County has already killed thousands of fish and they are already feeling the affects of the bloom on Gasparilla Island.

Dead fish and the weather have kept many tourists away from the beach Monday, but it's this very weather that could bring an end to this fishkill and this red tide bloom.

Over the weekend, a red tide bloom offshore killed thousands of fish and pushed them onto the beaches of Charlotte County.
