MILTON, Fla. (AP) - Teachers and staff in Santa Rosa County will be getting a pay raise this year.
After two years with no pay increases, officials in the Florida Panhandle approved the 1½ percent pay increase this week.
The Pensacola News Journal reports teachers, bus drivers and staff support will get raises under the new contract.
Superintendent of Schools Tim Wyrosdick says officials wanted to "give back" to educators.
