MARIANNA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two people died when their car crossed into the path of an oncoming ambulance in the Florida Panhandle.

The Monday evening crash also injured two others in the Toyota and two paramedics in the ambulance. The Florida Highway Patrol says the collision caused the ambulance to flip onto its side.

The Panama City News Herald reports the driver and a passenger in the Toyota's backseat were killed. Their names have not been released.
