PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit detectives are asking the public for assistance in identifying surveillance photos taken in the armed robbery of the 7-Eleven store at 4580 Tamiami Trail on Wednesday at 11:25 p.m.

Detectives said the man held his hand under his shirt implying a weapon and told the clerk to give him money in the cash register. The alarm went off and the subject fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Deputies, detectives and K9 established a perimeter looking for the robber but were unable to locate the subject.

The suspect shown in the surveillance photos is described as a white male, 5’8” to 5’10” inches tall, about 190 pounds, grey hair, wearing a white tee-shirt, tan or khaki shorts, red visor with white logo and loafer type shoes.
