NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- Thieves hit the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers, but what they took has left managers there scratching their heads.

Managers at the Shell Factory say that on Monday night somebody broke in and stole a pair of bearded dragons

They say someone scaled the fence in the middle of the night, cut through the screen door at the touch center and took "Henry and Henrietta."

The mating pair is worth about $250, but the nature park director says the lizards are priceless to the staff and guests.

She has a message for the thieves: "I wish you would bring 'em back and if you're not going to bring them back I hope you take care of them or know how to take care of them."

Managers here say that they will try to get a couple new animals, but it will take some time for them to acclimate before they can be placed in the touch center.
