NEW YORK- New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says it's best for everyone's safety to shut down transit systems in the tri-state area. The subway system, Long Island Railroad, and New Jersey Transit trains will be shut down beginning Saturday at noon.

Meanwhile, hospitals in the area are evacuating as well as a precaution. Hundreds of patients are being moved to other hospitals for their safety.

President Obama is urging people along the East Coast to heed warnings from officials. He says if you're in a low-lying area where there is a mandatory evacuation, do not try to ride out the storm.
