INVERNESS, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say one man was killed and several other people were injured in a north Florida boat crash over the weekend.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports that 48-year-old Robert Wade Phillips was boating with family members on the Homosassa River in Citrus County Sunday when the vessel overturned.
Phillips was pronounced dead after the crash, and nine others were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions weren't immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
