ESTERO, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol says one person was killed and two were hospitalized after an accident on I-75 this morning.
The driver of an SUV traveling south on the highway near Corkscrew Road lost control and drove off the shoulder.
A passenger who was not wearing a seat belt was thrown from the car and pronounced dead on the scene.
The other two people in the car were transported to Lee Memorial with unknown injuries.
