FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Gainesville-based church that made international headlines for its plans to burn the Quran last year, is reportedly now moving to Fort Myers.

The church's senior pastor, Terry Jones, tells our partners at the News-Press, the Dove Outreach Center should relocate sometime in October or November.

Jones became a household name last year when he announced plans to burn the Quran on the ninth anniversary on the September 11th attacks.

He received pleas from around the country, including from President Obama, to cancel the burning, which he did. However, church members did eventually burn the book this past March.
