FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla - The Lee County Health Department is lifting it's no swimming advisory at three local beaches.

The Health Department says it's safe to go swimming at Lynn Hall Park, Bowditch Beach, and Bonita Park Beach.

Last week, a no swimming advisory went into effect at all three beaches after high levels of bacteria were found in the water.

Torrential rain caused the bacteria to run off into the water.

After several days the county tested the water Monday morning.

Tuesday afternoon they lifted the ban saying it's safe to swim.

The no swimming advisory signs have been removed and people are happy to be able to swim without worry.

Though some people still have concerns, the Health Department says there is nothing to worry about.

They will do routine testing again on Monday.
