ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are searching for three men they say pistol whipped an elderly Orlando man and punched his wife in the head during a daytime home invasion.
The couple told the Orlando Sentinel ( ) the intruders came to the door asking for snacks Monday afternoon. As 78-year-old Willesley Taylor turned to get the snacks, one of the men struck him with the gun. The gunman then hit 75-year-old Willie Taylor, knocking her from a living room love seat.
A 54-year-old son who lives at the house dialed 911 before an intruder put a gun to his head, stole his watch and took change. The suspects also took a watch and $370 from the couple.
The Taylors were treated at a hospital. Relatives say Willesley Taylor's head wound required 17 stitches.
