NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.- A woman swerves to avoid an animal and ends up driving into a North Fort Myers retention pond.

Carmen Parra tells WINK News she lost control of her nearly-new Lexus and slid down an embankment into about 2 1/2 feet of water. Parra was able to climb out of the car and was not hurt in the accident.

The car was only three months old.
