ENGLEWOOD, Fla.- The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Jennie Lee Osborne, also known as Jennie Myers, 28, of 429 East Cowles Street in Englewood, and charged her with Second Degree Murder in connection with the homicide that occurred yesterday afternoon.
Deputies found the victim, Terrence J. Edwards, 65, dead in his home around 9:30 p.m., when they arrived at 185 Winson Avenue to investigate Osborne’s report to hospital officials that she killed a man who allegedly attacked her.
Detectives determined there was a lack of evidence to support Osborne’s claim that she had been attacked. Instead, the investigation revealed that she shot and stabbed the victim, stole money from his home and destroyed evidence of the crime.
Osborne has been booked into the Sarasota County Jail and is being held without bond.
