ENGLEWOOD, Fla.- A Charlotte County Sheriff's deputy arrested a grout man laborer who stole $1,300 worth of jewelry from a home he was working in and selling the gold items to a cash for gold dealer in Sarasota County.

The deputy reportedTimothy Patrick Sullivan , 31,  of 7420 Brandywine Drive in Englewood, was hired as a helper for The Grout Doctor to clean grout in a home at 8376 Kinglet Drive, East Englewood. The company owner said they got to a point to let the grout dry and he left Sullivan on the job site. Later that day after the job was finished, the home owner called the company owner to report her jewelry missing. Deputies went to Sullivan’s home where he said he took the jewelry and sold it to a store in Sarasota County that buys gold jewelry; he received $380 for the stolen items.

Sullivan was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on $2,500 bond.
