PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- A Charlotte County Sheriff's deputy arrested a 13-year-old boy after an alert neighbor saw him go into and exit through the doggy door in the unlocked garage. Travis F. Paradis, 318 Kindred Blvd., Port Charlotte, was charged with felony Burglary.
A neighbor called the boy’s father Monday to report she saw Travis jump over a fence at 328 Kindred Blvd. and crawl in and out via the doggie door. The father called CCSO at 9:06 p.m. to request a deputy come to his home. The father told the deputy that Travis has burglarized a number of homes in the neighborhood over the past year’ but nobody wanted to pursue charges. He also said his son has a problem with stealing and “something needs to be done about it.”
Paradis was transported to the Charlotte County Jail, and then released to his parents.
