NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two men are dead following a disturbance at a South Florida home.

Police say they were asked Thursday night to check on homeowner Jonathan Wolfson after relatives couldn't reach him.

According to reports, police went to the North Miami Beach home and found the body of Troy Longhurst, a friend of Wolfson who had gone there to check on him.

The SWAT team contacted Wolfson, who refused to leave the house. Police say Wolfson started yelling comments that didn't make sense. He eventually walked out the back door, where he had a confrontation with police.

Shots were fired and Wolfson died.

Police are continuing to investigate.
