FORT MYERS, Fla.- Business is good at South Florida Gold Exchange in Fort Myers.

With gold prices hitting their highest in history, they're paying more for the metal. But they're also getting more from the manufacturers they sell to.

Owner Joseph Jaworowski says he's seeing more people than ever turning in their scrap gold to pay bills.

" I had one lady come in, she had to sell her jewelry to bring her daughter to the dentist. Just really mundane bills," he said.

Jaworowski says he doesn't see gold prices going down. But if you're in it for short term cash, selling your gold now is probably your best bet, according to him.
