WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A neighbor and a high school classmate say they are shocked by allegations that a Florida teen killed his parents with a hammer and then hosted a party in the same house attended by dozens of people.

Officials say 17-year-old Tyler Hadley will make his first court appearance Tuesday. He faces two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley. Their bodies were discovered early Sunday in Port St. Lucie.

Police say the Hadleys were bludgeoned with a hammer outside their master bedroom and then moved inside.

Classmate Johnna Izzo says Hadley "seemed normal."

Those thoughts were echoed by neighbor Raeann Wallace who had known the boy all of his life. She recalls seeing the teen and his father shooting basketball in the driveway.
