CAPE CORAL, Fla.- "I remember everything, flying through the air, lying there with your eyes closed," said Pfc. Corey Kent.

It's a haunting memory Corey Kent will never forget. Last July he was seriously injured by a roadside bomb while he was on duty in Afghanistan.

The Mariner High graduate lost both his legs and the fingers on one hand.

The community will give him a hero's welcome today as he lands at Southwest Florida International airport. He'll get a motorcade to Leapin' Lizards in Cape Coral for a big celebration.

He is looking forward to some rest and relaxation before he heads back to Walter Reed Medical Center where he will continue his recovery.
