COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- The city of Naples is slashing its budget and making cuts to save money and your kids may be the ones who suffer.
One summer camp program and an after school program that serves 200 kids are gone.
Additionally, special holiday events such as Easter egg hunts and Christmas events are cut from the city's budget.
Some parents are feeling the stress, trying to figure out what they'll do with their kids now that the city of Naples wants to shut down some popular camps to balance the budget.
According to the city, the cut includes the Lake Park Summer camp, which will save $205,000.
City officials are also want to slash the Fleishman after school camp to save $105,000.
Special city events for Halloween, Easter, Christmas and even seniors will go. The cuts will save the city $47,000.
