FORT MYERS, Fla -- Fort Myers police are looking for three men who pistol whipped and stole a man's wallet in Fort Myers on Thursday afternoon.

Police say it happened at the intersection for Seminole Court and Seminole Avenue just after 3:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they found out that two men were riding their bikes when a van approached them from behind.

Witnesses said three men wearing ski-masks jumped out of the van and one of them was armed with a gun. The suspect armed with a gun fire one round and then chased the victims, catching one of them. He hit the victim in the head multiple times with a gun and then stole the victim's wallet.

The suspects fled the scene. Officers setup a perimeter using the Lee County Sheriff's Office helicopter but did not find the suspects. The victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
