EAST NAPLES, Fla. - We have new details in on an East Naples homicide investigation. We've learned the victim is 44 year-old Jacquelin Francois. Authorities found a his body inside a converted shed on Polly Avenue.

For those closest to Francois of Golden Gate, this came out of the blue. LaShavea Warren says she dated him for 2 years.

"Jacquelin was actually pretty energetic, a comedian, other than that, he's just an easy, outgoing person," Warren said.

The last time she saw him was Wednesday afternoon when he dropped her off at her mother's house. Around 7:00 that evening, she got a phone call that he'd never made it to work.

"I texted him, everything," Warren said. "When I didn't get a call back, that's when I started to panic."

Francois was reported missing, and Thursday, detectives found his body inside a shed at 3170 polly avenue. They determined it was homicide. Neighbors say they smelled something coming from the property, and knew something wasn't right.

"It was strong, it was strong," neighbor Filomena Poole said. "So we came out we said it must be blowing from right back in there. The vultures were overhead."

Warren said Francois had plenty of friends and only had issues with a few people. While police have yet to make an arrest, she has a message for whoever did it...

"All I'm gonna say is I don't hate you, but one way or another, you're going to get yours, and when you get it, it's going to be a whole lot worse, cause karma is something pretty bad, not nice at all," Warren said.
The owner of the property where Francois was found says he only used the shed to store equipment. He said he was just there Wednesday but didn't smell or see anything. He does have "no trespassing" signs posted, put plans to put up a large fence.

For now, detectives say they are interviewing potential witnesses.
