COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- UPDATE: The slain man whose body was found in East Naples on Thursday has been identified as detectives search for a suspect in the case. 

The victim has been identified as Jacquelin Francois, 44, of 1850 Sunshine Blvd., #4, Golden Gate. 

Detectives said Francois had been reported missing Thursday, just hours before his body was found inside a shed that had been converted into a residence at 3170 Polly Ave. 

Francois was last seen around 3 p.m. Wednesday. He was reported missing to CCSO around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. His body was discovered around 4:30 p.m. 

Detectives are not releasing how Francois died because of the active investigation, but said the case is being handled as a homicide. 

Detectives were interviewing several potential witnesses in the case Friday. 

No arrests have been made. 

An autopsy was being conducted by the Collier County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday. 

An investigation continues.
