LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the gunman in a Friday night shooting in Lehigh Acres.

Investigators say Juan Lopez, 25, was shot following a confrontation with a masked man.  He was reported in stable condition on Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses told deputies Lopez's girlfriend was letting their dog out of a sliding glass door when a masked man entered their home.  A fight followed between the unidentified suspect and Lopez, who was shot during the altercation.  Lopez was able to get into bedroom with his girlfriend and a third person in the house.  There, deputies say he got a gun and fired a shot through the closed door at the suspect.

Deptuies are searching for a suspect described as a black or Hispanic male, approximately 6'0" to 6'2" tall and weighing over 250 pounds.
