FORT MYERS, Fla.- Don Trummel plead no contest in court Friday morning, concerning allegations that he sexually abused multiple little girls at Fort Myers Villas Pre-School. As part of a plea deal, Trummel will serve 93 months in prison, followed by 10 years of probation. He will also have to register as a Sex Offender.

Trummel was arrested in April of 2009, following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse at Villas Pre-School. Both Lee County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Children and Families investigated multiple claims of sexual molestation on female victims attending the school.

Trummel's attorney, Joseph Viacava, said he accepted the plea deal in order to avoid going to trial and facing a possible life sentence. The State Attorney's Office offered the plea deal in order to avoid making the victims take the stand during trial.

Outside the courtroom Friday morning, victims' parents say justice has finally been served.

"It's been a nightmare. It's been a long drawn out thing and finally it's gonna be over and he gets what he deserves," one of the victim's mothers said.
