NAPLES, FL - Firefighters with the East Naples Fire Department took part in a unique training excercise on Friday. They gathered at an old maintenence shed at the Conservency of Naples to train for a fire emergency.  A practice call goes out over the radio, telling firefighters there is a structure fire with someone trapped. The men and women "respond" to the scene. There is smoke, created by a smoke machine, billowing out of the building. Rescuers go in searching for victims. As the excercise continues, Supervisors monitor the situation from inside using a thermal imaging device. The rescue is made and then it is time to review the excercise. Trainers say this type of practice is essential to staying safe in dangerous situations.
