LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A Lee County deputy has been fired for improper conduct. Investigators say, the deputy was caught on camera using mace on a man in custody without proper cause.

Investigators say the man was drunk but not aggressive.

In the video to the left, you can see forer Deputy Paul Greenleaf handcuff a man and spray him in the face with mace.

Greenleaf claimed that the man was becoming aggressive with him. however, after reviewing the video, investigators determined at no point did the man physically resist the deputy or turn toward him in an aggressive manner.

Investigators say they were also able to determine that Deputy Greenleaf was untruthful in his written statement about what happened.
