CAPE CORAL, Fla. Fritz Andress knows a thing or two about keeping costs down.

Andresss owns several Little Caesars in Fort Myers and for the last several months he's been taking part in a new program being offered to LCEC customers.

KiloWatch allows customers to manager their own energy costs.

"I'm probably on it two or three times a week to see where everything is and what I used if I had friends visiting and the air conditioning was turned all the way down because they're not used to the heat," he said.

Every month Andress sets the amount of kilowatt hours he wants to use and once he goes over LCEC sends him an e-mail or cell phone text message warning of a higher bill.

In January he saved more than $214 on his bill compared to last year.

"Where you can get little bits it can make a world of difference," said Andress.

The power company is also returning $8 million to its customers.
