COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The final negotiations for the new Collier County school superintendent's contract will wait until Thursday. The district already offered Kamela Patton a contract but she wants to work out issues like the evaluation process, vacation days and sick leave.
"She wrote back with her suggestions. there are a number of them so we felt like we needed a time to just specifically concentrate on the contract rather than doing it during a board meeting," said Roy Terry, who is on the Collier County School Board.
Board members believe a deal will be reached. The special Collier County School Board meeting will be Thursday at 5 p.m.
