PUNTA GORDA, Fla.-  Burnt Store Road, between US 41 and Acline Road, over the Alligator Creek Bridge will be closed beginning on Tuesday, May 17.

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Jury selection has resumed in the murder trial of an Orlando woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter.
Chief Judge Belvin Perry planned to swear-in the 17 jurors Tuesday morning who'd made it through a rigorous three rounds of vetting last week. That group was immediately reduced to 11 when the prosecution and defense used three peremptory challenges each to dismiss six jurors.
Perry says he plans to swear-in the panel after finding one more juror from the pool that has yet to be questioned on pretrial publicity and the death penalty. The rest of the day will be spent finding several alternates.
Casey Anthony could face death if convicted for killing toddler Caylee in 2008. Jury selection is being held outside or Orlando because of intense pretrial publicity.

This closure is expected to last approximately six months while the bridge is being reconstructed, as part of the Burnt Store Road Phase 1 Widening Project. During this time, traffic will be detoured between US 41 and Burnt Store Road via Acline Road.

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution throughout the construction area.
