LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Ronnie L. Williams, 18, of Fort Myers was arrested on Wednesday and charged with burglary and petit theft.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a burglary at a residence in the Pine Manor Community in Fort Myers.

The resident of the home said he was sleeping when he heard his door bell ring. He then heard his alarm beep, which indicated that a window or door had opened. He then went to investigate the noise. That's when he said he observed three black males unknown to him inside a bedroom in his home. He described them as approximately 20 years of age and approximately six feet tall.

The victim grabbed a large kitchen knife and demanded the suspects leave his residence. He continued to yell at the suspects to drop his backpack and leave the residence.

He said an unfamiliar knife was left behind by the suspects.

Fingerprints left on a candy box in the victim's home led detectives to Williams, who was running through yards in the neighborhood of the home that was burglarized.
